Secret Wars @ Whiteair

For those of you that don't know, Whiteair is the biggest extreme sports festival in Europe, so it was the perfect stage for Secret Wars to set up a special 3 day tournament.

Artists included:
Spit Sega
Dirty Laundry
Kozin
Made You Look
JOJENK
Limbo
Mist

All very talented and eager to experience Secret Wars in its fullest. Day 1 saw Spit Sega, Made You Look, Jojenk and Kozin progress to the semis to be held on Day 2. Whilst the battles were on, there were a range of activities and performances from some of the best extreme sports stars from around the world. There was also a chance for young and eager artists to get involved under artist supervision to learn more about SW as well as a chance to pick up a some paint and 'have a go'.

Reeps 1 showed up and blew the crowd away with his range of sounds. I can honestly say, Reeps pulled a bigger crowd then the Red Arrows and RAF put together.

In the end, artists 'Made You Look' and 'Spit Sega' made it to the final on Day 3, where after a 1-1 decision by the judges, it was left to Andy (Whiteair organiser) to make the tough choice. The Secret Wars Whiteair Champion went to....Spit Sega. A big congrats and a big thanks to everyone that took part and showed their support!

The Return of Alfa

Back by popular demand, Alfa was asked back to Sussex University to provide more art work for their bar area. During their disertation dash (Hand in Day) We saw a load of happy faces and a few sad ones as they weren't organised enough and missed their deadline....OUCH!

BRIGHTON BABY!!!

There were always going to be surprises on the night, but nobody would have expected this. Renowned artist Mark Bode had heard there was a Secret Wars battle happening in town and wondered if he could get involved. Do Camels Spit? If you're not sure ask Terry on studio@monorex.com. Otherwise check out the pics of Bode doing his Thang!!

Mista/Bode Vs Teck/Alfa was a line up I didn't imagine could happen and neither did they. But the best bit of the night was seeing Jimi C argue with a couple of girls accusing him of being Racist because it was a London Vs Brighton. They would have preferred Team A Vs Team B...Not on Jimi's watch! Despite, Brighton getting the crowd vote (No surprise there) Both judges, voted in favour of London! Brrapp Brrapp!

Until next time....

Don't forget to watch this space as we secure a permanent spot in Brighton. If you're an artist and interested in getting up to compete for the title of Champion, then email us on Brighton@secretwars.co.uk.
